Summary

In Heading Home, you play as an exhausted astronaut on the final leg of a long, lonely mission, desperate to return to your family back on Earth. But something has awakened in the outer rim—hordes of alien lifeforms determined to stand between you and home.

Armed with an ever-growing arsenal of sci-fi weaponry, you’ll blast your way through wave after wave of relentless enemies. But every shot has consequences: the aliens adapt and evolve based on the weapons you use. Burn them, and they'll come back fireproof. Freeze them, and they'll learn to move faster. Every battle forces you to rethink your strategy.

When you're defeated, it’s not game over—it's a step forward. Each failure unlocks a new upgrade, pushing you further through the stars. The path home is long, but failure is just another kind of progress.

this was such a fun game to play! i absolutely loved the art especially, the visual effects made it so much more enjoyable. however, i stopped getting more enemies spawn in at around the halfway mark (idk if thats a problem with me, or the game), so i couldnt finish it :( amazing work though!!

Thanks for playing!! The artists did an amazing job :) I haven’t seen the bug amongst our team so it might be a computer-specific problem. Good to note though.

Edit: It might be because the game thinks not all enemies are defeated, like a surfboard enemy is hanging around at the left edge of the screen. But that’s my guess.
